Corpedia Education and the Juran Institute have collaborated to release a series of web-based Six Sigma programs, today's most exciting, rigorous, and successful quality improvement program.
Dr. Joseph M. Juran founded Juran Institute in 1979 to promote his and others' work in the field of quality management. Since then, Juran Institute has grown into a major international consulting and educational institution, and Dr. Juran's work inspired and provided the necessary underpinnings for the development of Six Sigma, today's most exciting, rigorous, and successful quality improvement program.
Having spent more than seven decades lecturing, writing, and consulting about quality, Dr. Juran remains among the world's most respected management authorities. Along with Dr. W. Edwards Deming, he played an influential role in the post-WWII reconstruction of the Japanese economy and helped secure Japan's rise as an economic powerhouse. Among Dr. Juran's most important contributions was the recognition of the human dimension of business, which took the quality movement beyond its impersonal statistical origins and earned him recognition as a father of quality management.
Corpedia/Juran has released a series entitled Six Sigma DMAIC Process–Production, the first of three Six Sigma Yellow Belt certificates. This five-course, six-hour series teaches individuals how to apply Six Sigma basics to manufacturing industries. Upon completion of the programs, individuals will receive a certificate of completion, a credential that corroborates the individual has attained a thorough understanding of the material.
In the ensuing months, Corpedia/Juran will release two more series: Six Sigma DMAIC Process–Transactional, which teaches individuals how to apply Six Sigma basics to service industries; and Design for Six Sigma, which teaches individuals how to integrate Six Sigma principles into the design of new products, processes, and services.
